100 days of content challenge - Day 3 - My favourite author agreed to do an interview with me!

Three days ago I started a challenge set by Alex Hormozi in his training on acquisition.com to spend 100 minutes on content every day for 100 days.

Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing what I learned that you can apply.

Here’s what I made on day three:

Time spent: 125 minutes

What I made

  • 9 Tik toks (1 hour)

  • 3 posts for my poetry page (15 minutes)

  • Posted a blog (15 minutes)

  • 2 LinkedIn Posts (15 minutes)

  • Started my marketing Instagram, added a post and 5 stories (20 minutes)

My laptop died.

I hit a major bump in the road because I’m in Milan with my friends and I forgot my laptop charger.

Nevertheless, I made it work on my phone using the Wix, Canva and notes app to do my writing and graphics.

The day slipped away from me. I worked for about three hours in the morning, but then went out with friends all day going to the park and lunch. I didn’t get back here until five and I worked until late to get everything in.

What went well and what didn't

Of these, my LinkedIn post performed pretty well again as I applied what I learned yesterday and posted a picture of myself again. I also had two funnier Tik Toks that reached wider audiences which I’ll put below.👇

The other Tik Tok that performed well was a recycled joke I took from my stand up comedy class about how uncomfortable it was being in a mixed race family because the older I get, the more people mistake my dad and I are a couple when we are in public. I got two comments from men saying it wasn't because I am Asian, it's because I look old 😂, I'm still offended.

I still haven’t worked out the right advertisement to get people to write for my blog, but I suspect the magic is in the offering not the hooks, so I’ll adjust today.

I realised in my Tik Tok blogs the editing gets messed up whenever I hit post, so I’m going to try an outside software.

The crazy thing that happened today

The craziest thing that happened today though is I reached out to one of my favourite authors yesterday asking him if he would interview for my YouTube channel, and HE SAID YES!

I’m meant to interview him next Friday, but I try not to get my hopes up too much about these things before they’re finished.

Key takeaways of the day:

  • If hooks aren’t working the problem might be the offering

  • Funny short content gets views (but not necessarily follows)

  • Challenging yourself will cause you to make the time to reach out to people and make magic happen

If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! Who knows what could happen next to a girl with little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad?!?
