Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m a travelling marketing consultant looking to make great marketing mainstream.
Thirteen days ago I started a challenge set by Alex Hormozi in his training on acquisition.com to spend 100 minutes on content every day for 100 days.
Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing what I learned that you can apply.
If you’re not already, make sure you sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a post!
Day Eleven:
Yesterday I went to the most amazing rooftop cooking class & went to see the leaning tower of Pisa.
I used this opportunity to film a lot of content to be used once I’m back in Marano.
It was hard to fit everything in, but here’s what I made yesterday:
Time spent: a lot.
What I made:
3 Tik toks (30 minutes)
1 blog (30 minutes)
1 posts for my poetry page (20 minutes)
1 LinkedIn Post (15 minutes)
Instagram reel, post and stories (20 minutes)
Additional emails and posting on different pages (10 minutes)
Filming content (480 minutes including travel)
Struggles:
I’m realising now I didn’t make an ad to get people to write for my blog on my Tik Tok! To be honest though I have guest posts and maybe I put this on the back burner.
My posts on LinkedIn didn’t get as much engagement as usual.
I was walking and Tik Toking which you can see below, and was generally a safety hazard of a person yesterday.
What went well:
✨I filmed a vlog and posted it and the editing was much better than the ones I’d done previously.
🎀I had a Tik Tok on my go to travel hairstyle get over a thousand views because I paid €4 for at a random pharmacy in Florence
💡Yesterday's blog post got a lot of views
👋I’ve also been getting quite a few email subscribers!
I genuinely enjoyed myself and felt very inspired. I have yet to feel genuinely embarrassed by a single thing I’ve posted (despite my click bait titles). I’m having fun learning and testing and I’m not sorry for it. This had made all the difference.
I’ve found being able to consistently stick to this challenge is increasing my confidence. I think once the initial excitement of any challenge wears off it’s easy to stop. I’m in the hard part now and it won’t really pick up until the next time something big happens.
I also got another potential client slide into my LinkedIn messages. I really didn’t expect to get leads from this process, it’s been an unexpected bonus.
Key takeaways of the day:
If you love something do it unapologetically
Keeping promises to yourself will increase you confidence
If what you’re doing is good, you may not get what you set out to get but you will get good back
If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! You don't wanna miss what happens next because I have little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad 😂.
