Where I left you last…
As a new realtor Taylor had found her footing in her career and just got back on social media after hitting a roadblock. You can read about it here.
Learning consistency
After overcoming comments about my social media, I focused on getting to work. In time, I had learned that consistency in posting and creation was truly what drove a social media platform’s success, so I created a schedule to follow each week. Mondays are for market updates, Tuesdays are for personal videos/behind the scenes of real estate, Wednesdays and Fridays are for buyers/sellers tips, Thursdays are for Q&A, and the weekend is reserved for open house posts / new listings, and more.
Each week I know what is expected of me, and I carve out time in my schedule to take videos and edit, which I truly enjoy doing now that I know how.
Now after being consistent, and creating videos that are polished and professional, but still show my personality, I’ve gotten three people that have reached out to me, just in the past week, about using me for my business. Additionally, many people in person, and online have told me how much they love my posts, and how great of a job I’m doing.
What makes it all worth it
I really can’t explain how wonderful it feels to work so hard at something, and start to see results come of it. It makes me so excited and so proud of myself, for doing what feels right, not doubting the knowledge I have in social media, and implementing a work ethic that works for me. I knew that in order to honor myself, I needed to do what felt right, and for once, not do what was expected of me. And it truly works!
If you’re looking to start your social media journey, my top tips are:
Consistency is key: Consistent posting and creation is truly what drives a social media platform’s success. Create a schedule to follow each week and stick to it.
Be yourself: Create videos that are polished and professional, but still show your personality. This will help you stand out and attract potential clients.
Trust your instincts: Don’t doubt the knowledge you have in social media. Implement a work ethic that works for you and do what feels right, not what is expected of you.
