I had an epic fail yesterday making a video

Day thirty two:

I had an epic fail yesterday making a reaction video. Do you want to know what software I’m avoiding when making reaction videos from not on? Then keep reading…

I used OBS and will share my experience with you in the struggles section, my editor David has given me another option to try.

Right now I’m on my way to Portland, I’ve been vlogging the day and it’s surprising how fast I’ve become accustomed to YouTube when I just decided to do it.

Struggles and what went well

Struggles:

The footage in the YouTube video I made yesterday was all messed up for some reason. If you want to make reaction videos the best software is apparently OBS but the recording was warped for me. I’ll see if I can fix it today/ tomorrow using another software.

It was so bad I had to take it down.

Also I have officially left the poetry engagement group (see yesterday’s vlog for the fight I got into).

What went well:

💡A social media manager Aswin and I are going to start a Threads challenge in January

✅ I failed at making the video, it means I’m still pushing myself. Also the video being taken down is a good chance for me to edit the first five seconds to be more engaging.

✨ My Instagram is growing more often because I've worked more on my hooks

Key takeaway of the day:

  • The first five seconds is all that matters in keeping views

Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing the good, the embarrassing and the enlightening.
