Hi 👋 my name is Laura Mai and I’m your happy vegan travelling marketing consultant. My goal is to make ethical marketing easy.
Fourteen days ago I started a challenge set by Alex Hormozi in his training on acquisition.com to spend 100 minutes on content every day for 100 days.
Every day (except Sunday per my religion) I will be doing this challenge and sharing what I learned that you can apply.
If you’re not already, make sure you sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a post!
Day Twelve:
Guys I’m making a pivot. I’m sure you can tell even from my intro I’m testing going super niche.
I feel like I’ve been hiding parts of who I am, and maybe that’s why some of my content isn’t tracking.
I have a hard time with the internet and rude comments, but I need to get over it if I want this to work. I feel vulnerable sharing these parts of myself. I don’t want people to know I’m vegan, that I’m religious or that I’m a minimalist. I want them to know me and for those things to come later, but I have a feeling what I want isn’t what works. So let’s switch it up.
Time spent yesterday: 280 minutes
What I made:
-3 Tik toks (30 minutes)
-2 blogs (60 minutes)
-1 posts for my poetry page (15 minutes)
-1 LinkedIn Post (15 minutes)
-Instagram post and stories (20 minutes)
-Additional emails and posting on different pages (10 minutes)
-Filming content (120 minutes including travel)
Struggles:
Yesterday was so tough to fit everything in. I wanted cool cathedral footage but everything went wrong and I ended up having to get a different train ticket.
I was juggling meetings and travel and content and I cried yesterday in the middle of Florence station.
Yesterday didn’t have struggles, yesterday was a struggle. What I did was I took an hour to relax on the train instead of work like I had planned. I found I was productive when I started working at my hostel. I needed to calm down and take a second.
Also the potential client I mentioned doesn’t seem like a good match from the intake form, so unfortunately I have to decline.
What went well:
The best selling author I interviewed last week emailed me asking for my homework (it will make more sense when I release the video).
I did manage to get posts up and blogs written. I know they’re not perfect but knowing where they could be better is a testament for how far my knowledge has come.
The best post of the day for me was my LinkedIn words of wisdom, the post got really kind comments. I’ll put it below:
Key takeaways of the day:
-If things aren’t working change course
-Remember working isn't the same as productivity. If you're not being productive take a break
-Some days good is good enough
If you're enjoying this content challenge sign up to my emails to make sure you don't miss a post! You don't wanna miss what happens next because I have little fear of social rejection and the personality of an outgoing American Dad 😂.
